New Zealand 2009

A four day Cycle Tour on the Banks Peninsular

We have just enjoyed the most wonderful holiday in New Zealand (all the descriptions of this beautiful country are true), which included a four day cycle tour on the Banks Peninsular just South of Christchurch.

The route & details are shown below and if anyone would like more info this then send me an e-mail as it really was great fun (although some seriously steep ‘hills’) and the Organisers, Independent Cycle Tours NZ (who accompanied us, but you can go it alone) were wonderful and know the area inside out.

The accommodation they organised was also great – seriously professional B&B’s with a high standard of comfort and great food. Wilderness in Akaroa was particularly special and Sawmill Cottage particularly friendly. I’ve photos, maps and profiles I’ll try to put on the photos link page if they’re of interest to anyone.
